One of the main highlights of working as an accountant and adviser is seeing a client grow and develop from the support and advice that you provide.

At Kreston Reeves this is something we have always excelled at, but it is particularly pleasing when such a client operates in the not-for-profit sector, which itself gives something back to the community. Our team in the Gatwick office acts for a number of charity clients who have excelled over the past decade, despite facing a plethora of challenges. However, the not-for profit type entity in which we have recently seen substantial positive growth is that of credit unions.

Despite the generous amount of press coverage given to credit unions since the 2011 Legislative Reform Order, along with the vocal support of the Archbishop of Canterbury (and the Duchess of Cornwall), these organisations continue to be a bit of a mystery, with many people not really knowing what they can offer and the benefits that they can provide.
